Technical visit gives the opportunity for the chemical engineering students to broadly explore the real chemical plant from some famous chemical companies / industries, such as Dunwell, Air Product, Pearl River Beer, etc.

San Tin Stormwater Pumping Station - 27th Oct 2014
From this Technical Visit, the participating students are now getting more familiar with the causes of floods in the New Territories districts. Additionally, they also learnt about the major differences of individual implementations and facilities used in Hong Kong urban and suburban area.
Yuen Long Bypass Flooding - 27th Oct 2014
The facility is constructed to mitigate flooding in Yuen Long Town and its peripheral village areas. The visit covered an introduction of the Hong Kong flood history and the respective flood prevention strategies. Following that, there was an on-site visit to the pumping station and YLBF.
Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station - 7th Feb 2015
Nuclear Engineering is one branch of ChemE. In this visit, participants can keep abreast of the state-of-the-art technology in nuclear reactors and their architecture. They can also benefit from the plant operation knowledge.

In Fall 2014 semester, our student chapter proudly presents the Career Week, a series of talks conducted by the chemical engineering related companies to provide tips and insights on job applications. This is such a golden opportunity for students to interact directly with the companies’ personnel and have a chance of getting internship and graduate job opportunities as some of them have interest in hiring chemical engineering students and graduates.
